Wood Pellets

Recent advances in technology have meant that Wood Pellets have become particularly viable as fuel for wood burners, stoves and boilers as well as being used as bedding for horses.

Historically the sawdust produced by the timber processing industry would be considered as waste and sold off in bulk as a low grade product. However, technology has allowed companies to compress sawdust into high energy Wood Pellets thus reducing bulky loose sawdust into an easy to use product.

Our Wood Pellets are particularly suitable for wood burners and stoves due to the high calorific value they produce. The high pressure exerted by the pelleting machinery causes the natural resins in the sawdust to melt thus naturally binding the Wood Pellets together. No artificial glues or bonding agents are used ensuring the most environmentally friendly Wood Pellets available.

Generally the use of Wood Pellets as fuel is considered carbon neutral and thus environmentally sound as the carbon produced when the Wood Pellets are burnt is offset by the carbon absorbed by the wood during its life as a tree.

Wood Pellets are packed into 15kg polythene bags and are available in 250kg, 500kg and 850kg pallet lots.
